Do you remember the moment you knew you wanted to become a designer?
I guess in kindergarten. I wanted to be like a renaissance artist – multidisciplinary, commissioned, creative, solving problems. “designer” is a relatively new term.
Did you go to design school? Do you think it was necessary to get to where you are today?
Yes. I think it helped me to shape myself. Not so much through classes and education, but through like-minded people and the change of environment.
Who is your favorite designer right now?
I don’t have a “favorite designer”. It tempts you to be guided and inspired in your own profession, which should not be the case. I want to choose my idols beyond my own field. I admire Katsu for example. He is a famous graffiti artist utilising fire extinguishers, drones, robots, ai etc.
What is your all time favorite font?
I don’t have a “favorite font”. A typeface serves a purpose and should not only be chosen by taste.
What is your method of getting out of a designers block?
Skateboarding.
Can you describe your ideal working environment?
Inspiring and everchanging environment, surrounded by good people and good food.
